Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of CyberShield services at getshieldcheck.com. By purchasing a service, you agree to these terms.

1. What we provide

CyberShield provides written security checkups for small businesses — no phone calls, everything by email:

• Security Audit ($99, one-time): a written review of your business's security setup across our 7-layer checklist, delivered as a report within 2–3 business days of receiving your completed questionnaire.
• Setup Done For You ($299, one-time): hands-on implementation of the fixes recommended in your report (exact scope and price quoted in the report before you decide).
• Care Plan ($49/month): monthly security check-ins, update reminders, and priority written help. Cancel anytime.

2. How the service works

• After payment, you receive a security questionnaire by email.
• Return the completed questionnaire and we prepare your written report.
• All communication is by email. We never call you, and we will never ask for your passwords by email.

3. Payment

• Payments are processed securely by Stripe. Prices are in US dollars.
• One-time services are charged once at purchase. The Care Plan is a recurring monthly subscription, charged each month until you cancel.

4. Cancellations and refunds

• Security Audit: if you cancel before we begin work on your report, we refund you in full. Once work has begun, the audit fee is non-refundable — but if we fail to deliver your report, you get a full refund.
• Setup Done For You: quoted and agreed in writing before work starts; refund terms for the setup are stated in the quote.
• Care Plan: cancel anytime by emailing contact@getshieldcheck.com. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing month; no partial-month refunds.

5. What we do not promise

Our checkup materially improves your security posture, but no service can guarantee you will never be breached. CyberShield is not a certification, insurance policy, or legal compliance opinion. You remain responsible for your business's security decisions.

6. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising from our services is limited to the amount you paid for the service in question. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.

7. Acceptable use

You agree to provide accurate information in the questionnaire and to use our reports for your own business. You may not resell our reports or services without written permission.

8. Changes

We may update these terms from time to time; the "last updated" date above will reflect the latest version. Continued use of the service after changes means you accept the updated terms.
